Since the start of 2016 we have seen an increase in enquiries from the construction sector. In particular, we have been commissioned to provide aerial images on to which developers wish to superimpose 3D models of the prospective development. Here is an example. Please note that Cloudbase Images have not created the 3D housing models.
The latest version of DJI’s outstanding prosumer drone, the Inspire 1 has had a significant upgrade with the inclusion of the X5 camera. Cloudbase Images can now offer clients even more impressive results with the 16 megapixel, Ultra HD 4K camera. It has eliminated the often controversial fish-eye effect, which was the standard offered by the X3 and GoPro cameras. Instead the X5 uses the industry standard Micro Four-Thirds (MFT) format with the ability to inter-change between lenses.
We have been on-site this morning conducting agricultural inspections and surveys of freshly planted crops. The DJI Inspire 1 Pro offers the ability to view in real-time, High Definition images of what the aircraft can see. It also has upgraded motors and satellite positioning technology, which has proven to be extremely impressive in terms of the aircrafts stability and handling.
Today we can announce the roll-out of another new and innovative product. Using Pix4D’s powerful software, we can now produce detailed 3D flyby/walk-throughs of any building, golf course, quarry, landmark…you name it! Show your customers the most interesting aspects of your estate before they arrive or use this technique and add it to Google Earth, this provides significantly better results than satellite imagery. See our gallery page for an example of a video made for Stafford Castle using this technique. Also on our Youtube channel:
